Careful Liz, rational talk like that will have you villified as a transphobic!

For what it is worth I agree with the vast majority of your comments and applaud your strength of feeling.

The only thing I may disagree with is that it is a “pornified” indulgence, I actually think it is much wider than that and that worries me more.

I have said before that I am more wary of the actions of Trans Rights Activists than the Antis. Trans Rights Activists actually physically attack women, grandmother age women, just for disagreeing with them. It's on the criminal record. They delight in making women lose their jobs over accusations of transphobia. They make bomb threats when women hold meetings.

I use"pornified" in this sense to refer to the type of femininity these men like to portray. Tight, short dresses, high heels, lots of makeup. It's nothing you'll see most women in. But I agree, it's widespread. Young lesbians, especially autistic lesbians, are looking at "being trans" as the reason they feel out of place in the world. The government is even looking into this. I can understand why young women don't want to be women, it's pretty rubbish in a lot of ways. But you can't identify out of it. It's a biological reality.

It’s quite scary when you think about it. A misogynist becomes a part-time woman and then can ‘attack’ from within with full-defence of the law.

The whole gender identity thing is the no.1 cause celebre of the social justice warrior brigade at the moment. It was apparent when Jordan Peterson got all that hate when he spoke out against what he perceived as compelled speech legislation in Canada. Look it up if you're not familiar with it.

There is a TV interview doing the rounds at the moment about Yorkshire Police and their 'report non-crime incidents' policy and the commissioner made sure he virtue-signalled by slotting in comments about different 'sections of the community' which of course encompassed the gender thing. I think he mentioned it several times but I might be wrong.

I gave up on BBC news a while ago now but it's full of it. I'm sick of it. Like others have said I'm all for live and let live, but when not addressing someone correctly from the growing list of gender identities (I think it's over 50 now) and risking utter vilification (including being sacked and potentially prosecuted) for 'hate speech' it's a slippery slope. If Corbyn's lot are ever in charge then God help us.

If they look like women, then as far as I’m concerned, there’s no problem with them using the women’s bogs, after all, how would anybody know. But if they look like men it’s not on.

I once sat in the pub with my mate and this gorgeous looking girl came across to talk to him. After she’d gone I asked him how he knew her,  he replied “I shared a cell with him in Walton”.

Could that really  happen ?, I think it probably could , but I'm not really sure. I find it all very confusing.

The world, or more specifically England is going mad, this thing has twice the rights or more that I do, male/female and sick!  Washroom, however the mood takes them, the country bends over backward to not show any discrimination, yet a whistle from a bloke on a building site to a woman gets them arrested!

Total madness!

I think the feminists have the right idea. They want all the benefits that they imagine men have, without any of the drawbacks like working as an operative for DynoRod or working outdoors in January doing work like laying tarmac. As someone once said: "If all the men were wiped out by a virus, the world would last only until the next oil change was due".

Apocryphal perhaps but it makes a very pertinent point.

Look at Laurel Hamilton. Failed male weightlifter, took a few hormones and competed as a woman.

It's acting like men that we worry about. Unisex toilets put women at risk. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/sexual-assault-unisex-changing-rooms-sunday-times-women-risk-a8519086.html

Females are not a lesser kind of male. You can't don womanface like you can blackface.

I've been listening to feminists for 40+ years. Back then their complaints were often worthy as well as easy to understand and sympathise with.

Now I'm not blind, wilfully or otherwise, but I simply have no idea what it is that feminists want here and now in the 21st century. I just cannot see what opportunities or other aspects of the world that are denied to women but open to men. Even the army have now said they're going to lower the physical standards required to allow more women to pass the training.

My underpinning personal view is the same now as it's always been and that is that when it comes to the workplace there should be no bars to advancement based on gender, age, race etc. In other words a meritocracy. Having said that I also have an unshakeable and fundamental belief that men and women have numerous differences in their respective attributes and abilities and that these are not just about size and strength.

Simply put, I believe women are better at some things whilst men are better at others and whilst there's obviously some overlap, Mother Nature is still the ultimate arbiter.

But Im sure Ill be wrong, after all Im only a bloke.

p.s Please refrain from using the female 'mother' pronoun when referring to nature, I would prefer Person Nature, thank you 😋
