hiya guys,

could any of you mushroom pickers / foragers , help give a positive id on a mushroom that weve happened across in our woodland please. were as sure as we can be that its a black chanterelle , but would rather have it confirmed by someone with more knowledge than us.(it doesnt take much to have more knowledge than us).

As far as I know there are no other mushrooms that you can mistake it for, here in Sweden we call it black trumpet mushroom. 

They are absolutely delicious fried in olive oil together with some garlic and a touch of ground white pepper. Tastes like a very nice well hung piece of ribeye so pour yourself a nice glass of red wine with it and really enjoy yourself.
