it must be one of them new diet chickens, lot less meat on the bone so you don't get fat.

cracking picture, looks a little like a "hen harrier" did you find a gap some place then or think he went through the fence chasing something?

Surprised the chickens haven’t killed it. They pretty soon sort out any foolish Jackdaw that gets into our pen.

Yes that is a female Spar!, I would say that she is a this years bird from the immature chest plumage.

A musket ( male spar) would be quite a bit smaller, what a fascinating raptor and highly efficient. Get in the pen with a fishing net, get her caught up then she can be released and on her way.
