Making a point, the closest guns to me are the Ruger’s
Vince Green
CZ every time, OK its the Ford Focus of the rifle world, but its a good solid no frills reliable rifle for a decent price. You only want to shoot it, its a tool.

Pigeon Shredder.
The closest guns to me are both CZ American's in 452 format and highly recommend, accurate, light weight, 14 and 16 inch barrel's which make's them a perfect size when in a vehicle. And for your budget you will get a very nice gun with all the bells and whistles.
haynes
Plus 1 for the cz.

Konnie
CZ for me tool for a job had no problems, if you want cosmetic pay more for another gun that fires the same ammo.
snow white
I have cz in 22 and in 17 hornet cannot fault them.
spandit
I have a Weihrauch HW60J in 17HMR and it's a lovely rifle. I've compared it to a friend's Ruger and to a CZ. It certainly feels a bit more "quality" but I doubt it's any more accurate and who cares when you're out in the field?
zipdog
I would of said CZ every time but its not so easy these days. Take a close look at the Tikka T1 for sure
telf
anschutz , cz, sako ,weihrauch , tikka , sporter/thumbhole stocks the list goes on , they are all very good rifles some better quality than others ,get to an RFD and see what feels best for you but at the end of the day they will all be as accurate as each other
spandit
The T-bolt has a cool action but I'm told the trigger isn't great. If I were you I'd make an offer on one of the Anschutz although buying a CZ would give you a lot more money left over for scope etc. I have a Bushnell Legend HD on mine and it's awesome. Dekers
There is no need for anything more than a CZ for field use! The end!
Esca
Anshutz great rifle lovely trigger.
Jason_ox
Whatever you decide on just make sure it’s a shortish barrel not 20+ Inches which can be a ball ache trying to poke out the window. My choice would be CZ, could possibly get a nice little package with mod, scope and trigger kit!
bumpy22
t1 x best rimfire i have used yet and the list is long
alan123shooting
I would go with a Sako, I shoot a .17hmr quad cracking rifle very accurate, also the tikka if it’s anything like my 30-06 t3 super rifle straight out the box. well that’s my tuppence worth Edited October 5, 2018 by alan123shooting
scouser
Got CZ in 22rf, 17 hmr, .223, the most bang for your buck.
billytheghillie
with that budget £500 you can get a new CZ, and no need to worry about the barrel been shot out.
