Blood in Urine

    Hi all, 

    had a day beating today, my spaniel worked her socks off. She was exhausted.

    just popped out, on returne found a huge wee in the kitchen with a lot of blood in it. 

    Any ideas ?

    Yep. Go to the vets and ask them. Wouldn't let internet advice persuade me otherwise. May be nothing or could be a kidney infection? Not worth getting it wrong for the sake of a few quid. Especially as the season has begun and you'll want her on top form.

    A few years ago my old lab was passing blood.You tend to think the worst luckily it was a bladder infections..Hope it turns out ok.

    Rang out of hours vet, he’s pretty sure it’s a bladder infection. 

    He said it’s not urgent, but if she’s in pain il take her up.

    I have heard of an adder bite causing the same in an hpr.

    Dunno how likely that would be in ur case (the hpr had been doing the summer grouse count, so in an area with adders)

    I was really worried, thought she might of done something internal. Thought maybe she’d had hurt herself and I hadn’t seen it ( very thick cover) she’s absolutely fine in herself, just really tired. I have pocked, proded and squeezed everywhere, and she isn’t in pain, so infection looks likely.
