Don't let the tube get coked up or it will sieze shut. Heat and condensation can cause the barrels to rust so a coat of something to protect the hidden steel parts is useful. I used to give mine a thin coat of grease but it would smoke for a bit when hot initially. Graphogen was a good lubricant to stop the threads seizing but expensive. Copper-eze worked too IIRC. Normal lubes just make things worse so check once in a while before it's too late.

Thanks. To get the mod off is it just a case of take out the threaded bolt and screw off??.

My hush is 3 years old now. And been shot a lot ..

Havent cleaned it yet .and its still quiet and no issues .

Doubt i could get the end off if i wanted to, but im not bothered.

I've seen barrels quite rotted from the outside from burnt powder residue and moisture from cooling after being shot.
