Judge to Fiona Onasanya's barrister on suggestion of suspended sentence: "I'm in difficulty." "If she wasn't an MP or wasn't in a position of responsibility, she would go inside. It's not one law for those in a position of power, and another for those who are not
Quite so, you know what you have to do judge...

From Twitter;

"Fiona Onasanya's barrister has just told the Old Bailey that "She continues to act as an independent MP because this is her only source of income."

Isn’t that yet another lie, doesn't she rent out properties?

And doesn't she have a column in a news paper?

Not enough and she will remain an MP right through the appeals process whenever that happens!

I wouldnt bother if I was her, shell be out in 6 weeks anyway, probably less if she harps on about her MS.
If she appeals she could end up with more ?

She has already lodged her appeal, it may be 9 months before it is heard but it keeps her out of prison until it is.

Then she may go to prison.

Way I heard it, she's locked up now.

The appeal might get her out shortly, if it's granted, but the furore at the moment is that she's being paid £1400 a week sat in jail, and not exactly doing her job!

Just now, Dibble said:

But no automatic recall petition whilst she appeals

No, the recall can still go ahead
