Ground with tower near Weston Supermare

Recommended Posts

Hoping someone from the south west can help.

We are travelling down the M5 on Friday on the way to a shoot.

Looking for a ground between Weston Supermare and Tiverton with a tower where we can all meet and practice some decent driven targets.

Can anyone recommend anything?

thanks

Not all that helpful I'm afraid, but if you're travelling down on Friday as the shoot is on saturday - and it's a Devon high bird shoot - then Ashcombe might be do-able for you - and it's a bit of a brute.

Mendip shooting ground.

Thanks all for coming back to me. Especially for the Mendip recommendation. Went there today and shot the tower. Very impressed. Nice set up.

Not especially close to WSM but the Valley shooting ground near castle coombe has the highest tower I’ve ever seen. Last time I made the trek over there it was closed but it seems it’s up and running again.

Edit: I had my semi-auto mocked by a 10 year old child dressed to the nines in a three piece tweed shooting suit and by his patronising father there, so make of that what you will.
