Hi. Had bother with mine initially when new. Found I'd been using the key to lock and unlock the back. Didn't think it was on the central locking but it is. Try locking the truck then put the key in the rear and try both unlocking and locking the rear if that works put the rear key in the glove box. I have.

i had a similar problem with the truckman top on my hillux. It was a sticky central locking motor. Manually work the arm and see if this helps? After it happened a few times i changed the motor/actuator (£3 off fleabay!) and works fine now.

Just re-read your post! if its not locking/unlocking with key, see if the rod that connects the lock mechanism to the key mechanism has come unattached.

It’s a 2017,,,,,, problem sorted after a look in the light.

so problem was the glass door on the truckman back wasn’t locking! On closer inspection there was a small cut in the wires (never even noticed they exsisted) once I fixed the cut she is right as rain

thanks for the suggestions

Thats good, but how would a cut in the wire stop the manual key from working???

I have no clue on the mechanics of it, i re connected the split wires and now both work fine. There is a good old YouTube vid that shows the mechanics and it has to be something to do with the electrics not realising a spring within the system...

i am am not mechanic lol but yesterday it didn’t lock with ether the fob or the key! Today with the wires connected she all works lovely
