I have two Clearviews...best money ever spent.... I have thought about the fan idea as our old farmhouse is almost all open plan, so interested to hear what users have to say also.  A limitless supply of almost free wood also helps with house warming costs and water heating.

I have the same stove . Its only 5 kw . With the fan on top it does move the heat around . I am using the Aldi one as my last one started to slow down . I now use it on my stove in the shed. The thing i like most about them the heat makes them work .and dont need a power source .

I’ve been ‘watching’ some fans on eBay for ages but haven’t pulled the trigger... so also interested in any recommendations.

Even with doors open and open plan - but L shaped - lounge/dining/kitchen the heat doesn’t naturally travel much out of our lounge. Although it is often sauna like.

Having listened to friends who have fans on their woodburners and are smitten by them we took the plunge and got an Aldi one on line.

To be honest I don't think it makes a scrap of difference to the temperature elsewhere in the house.  Maybe it's the layout of the house and where the stove is positioned.

Perhaps see if you can borrow one first to see if it works before spending out on one.
