Winston72
if its not working,Knackered would seem a fairly accurate description
Jason_ox
Had it with a 7 year old Samsung, Google’d the fault. Common problem with capacitors failing, replaced them with instructions from YouTube and now have a fully functioning TV with a repair cost of less than £5. Gosh I wish I'd have read this before I took a 2 year old Samsung to the tip.
blackbird
It’s just not worth wasting your time getting a tv fixed at the price they are selling new ones for.
spandit
My LG HDMI ports stopped working. I took the motherboard out and baked it in the oven to reflow the solder. Fixed it but after a few months they stopped working again so I bought a new telly
Mr gen
There is an easy way to see if it is a capacitor that has failed instead of being flat on the top they appear domed as if pressure has built up in them. Sadly this not always the case though. But it’s an easy quick check before scrapping.

Did this with one of my Samsungs, £5 for a new (better make) of capacitors and 30 minutes later the TV was good as new and it's still going.
