Out here on the east coast of Norfolk I have not noticed any mating birds or budding bushes, its freezing most days with bitter easterly winds straight off the sea, there are a few green shoots in the garden but the pigeons here are still tightly packed into small areas mostly on the rape,  most days they just sit in the tops of the tallest trees and only come down for a couple of hours feeding around midday, the rest of the time its a waiting game just for the odd bird over decoys. roll on spring !!
