Chris Green new flapping decoy

Recommended Posts

Has anyone bought or tested the new flapper from Chris Green in Cornwall, its a full bodied decoy with flapping wings that is activated by a pull cord through a pulley system from inside the hide, it also comes with an extension pole to raise it up in taller crops, I was interested to know if anyone recommends it as perhaps an alternative to the electric flapper on a timer of which I have two, downside of these is the weight of the battery when carrying equipment out to the shoot. also anyone know what he is charging for this item,

Use the same set up, but don't find a couple of 1.2 Ah batteries heavy and have never had a fully charged one run down in a single session.

If you're saying - as you seem to be -  that you use magnets and flappers at once, there is one option. My 1.2 Ah units have finally died and I now use a 4 Ah lithium battery (came with a lamp which I no longer use so nothing to do with weight) which I conect in parallel to the two flappers. Unless you site the magnets too far away, can you not use one battery to power one magnet and one flapper? 12Ah should give enough poke for a reasonable cable length.
