sabel25
That is not the no2 More like the 117 that gets passed off as a no2 The engraving is different to the no2 and they all had detatchable sideplates
matone
Think you`ll find that a 117 has a different engraving pattern on the locks and the fences are plain. Some have h/d locks also.
fallowbuck
I agree No 2s have hand detachable locks.🧐🤔👍
farmer7
Looks like a No.2 to me - apart from missing the hand detachable pin. It has gold lined cocking indicators, rolled triggerguard and an articulated front trigger. My No.2 has all these and pretty sure the 117 has none of them. Seadog1408
Does your no2 have detachable side locks.?
farmer7
Yes it does, but perhaps this one broke or stripped and replaced with a pin??
Seadog1408
Yes, maybe.
sabel25
If you check the engraving this is not the same engraving of that on a no2
farmer7
It's very difficult to make out the engraving as the pics quality isn't great but the engraving on the fences and top lever looks to be the same as my no.2. The 117 has a circular pattern in the middle of the sidelock behind the cocking indicator which is not on this gun.
Old melv
If you look on gun trader you will see some no 2s have hand detachable locks and some don't.

nabbers
I have original price lists for AYA, they cost more than a family saloon.
