Squirrel Drey Shooting

Ok, so having watched this video can I just clarify the cartridge choice?  36g of no4?  That’s…huge but the argument is that you are trying to penetrate squirrel drey, which appears to be pretty good at decelerating shot?  Not particularly cheap either, but I guess you’re unlikely to chew through too many, depending on the size of your permissions.

I ask because on my permission I appear to have several large squirrely apartment complexes high up in the trees, say at 20m or greater.  Is it worth a trip to the local RFD to pick up a box of these heavy hitters to attempt to nail the tree-rats before they start breeding?  I could post someone else nearby with something lighter and cheaper, ready to nail any bolters?  Tree cover that high up isn’t too dense.

Does that sound like it would make sense?
