Keeping guns safe in vehicles.

Just wondering if anyone takes special measures when they take out two guns/rifles but clearly can only use one at a time.

I use a van and take a .22lr and a HMR to the permission. The .22lr for use close to the farm house/stables and paddocks but prefer the HMR when I venture out across the arable fields. Therefore at anyone time, one of the rifles and its ammo is sat in the back of the van under a blanket.

Interested in your thoughts.

Many Thanks.

Though I try to avoid doing it. I will for a rifle always take the bolt/ ammo with me so if it does get pinched its basically useless. Also if possible get a cable lock and lock it usually via the trigger card to a hard point in the vehicle out of sight i.e. covered in the boot.

Just take what reasonable precautions you deem necessary. I often take two guns when clay shooting; the one not in use stays in the locked vehicle, just like everyone else.

You keep everyone else locked in your car? :hmm:
