Griftertig
So reading some of the shotguns for sale adverts and stock length is often mentioned. When following up a couple of the ads people seam to use different ways to measure. So my question is, is there an accepted standard that most people use?? keeper96
I believe the standard length of pull should be the trigger blade to the centre of the butt pad.

wymberley
And to the disbelief of many, the actual length is more dependent upon the length of your neck than your forearm.
welshwarrior
The length of a stock is measured from the middle of the front trigger to the butt. Most commonly used is length of pull to centre the butts centre point but there are also dimensions to bump and toe these are used more in gun fitting and stock making than general buying. Gunman
The LOP is from the center of the front trigger to the center of the heel . Thus it was often maintained that a single trigger gun would be deemed 5/8" to 7/8" shorter than the equivalent double triggered gun . There are several factors that can be said to affect the precieved LOP such as position of triggers and the style of the hand . Stock dimensions can only be used as a guide , you can find a gun that does not have your "measurements " fits and handles perfectly for you ,where as one that does , does not . Only real way is to pick it up and mount it .
