14 1/4 pull to the front trigger
2 1/2 inch chambers
Where do I start !
The more I look at this the more I see a Stunning Quality English Boxlock
The blueing ( although thin and rust stained in places) has that Top London look about it , the trigger guard has a beautiful brown colour case hardened look about it, all the screws are beautifully blued and engraved
The floor plate is beautifully blued
The chequering fine and neat
Top lever spring feels like it was fitted yesterday
It closes like a boss !
Vacant silver escutcheon
Right!!! Enough of me fondling this and getting unnecessary with thoughts of putting a ring on it , well maybe getting it left cast and keeping it
Now the bad bits !
Slight ( I mean Very slight ) pit marks in both barrels
Sounds bad but I’m talking one Mark in each barrel that’s visible
Proofed.719 in both barrels
Now reads .725 in both
Not really that bad for a gun around 200 years old
And as previously stated blueing is patchy and rust stained in places
