Yet another Plant ID

Clumps of this plant I saw whilst out trying to shoot a few pigeons yesterday. They were among long grass and cleaver alongside a small shave of trees.

I thought it looked a little like sea holly but having googled that, it`s nothing like it.

Any ideas anyone, before JDog comes along and gives us the correct Latin name ?

No prizes I`m afraid as I just don`t know what it is.

Well done Walshie, that's the one. Also well done Islandgun. The link that you put up also showed Sylibum Marianum, but I got confused by another reference on that link to Soloman's Seal.

Thank you JDog for putting us (or some of us) out of our misery.

Three house points each have therefore been awarded to Walshie, Islandgun & JDog. This entitles the recipients to a weekend away with Fat Sarah, with Ditchy's permission of course, who will no doubt oversee proceedings :cool1:
