No doubt about it Winchester Silvers were a brilliant cartridge . As were Gamebore Patriot , remember them? Does anyone have any Patriots left ? Would love to get some Patriots loaded if I can find the load data , I wonder what caused Gamebore to discontinue ?

Probably marketing, or powder change.

Replication of a cart must be hard unless you can get the exact same powder and components.

The Silvers were, (in my opinion), a poor follow up and a significantly more expensive shell than the truly superb Trap 100 / Trap 200 / Winner 8's, for some reason they never quite worked for me, so I think I switched to Fiocchi for a spell and then onto Hull Sovereigns.

As for the Gamebore Patriot's, I can honestly say I've never shot a more annoying shell, in that when you were on target and pulled the trigger, the clay sailed on, unbroken..!

I've no idea why that was, but I simply couldn't get on with them, and it came as little surprise to me when Gamebore quietly discontinued them.

Things have moved on since those days, the Gamebore Evo 24g in plaswad is a truly superb shell, I have complete confidence in it.
