Old Whisky

Recommended Posts

I was given this by a client yesterday!

Cant seem to find much information on it and wondered if any of you whisky connoisseurs had any ideas?

I haven't had a sip yet!!

I am no whiskey man but it looks like a 28 year old malt going by the label. A rare beastie indeed!

I don’t know anything about the Scotch Malt Whisky Society but if it’s a 28 year old cask strength whisky it could be something very special, possibly expensive, depending which particular Malt Whisky it is.

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society have their own numbering system for their whiskies. No 27 is Springbank in Campbeltown as far as I can tell. Just google it!

Go carefully ,my partner was given an old whiskey several years ago luckily with a wee nip already gone ,we couldnt find it anywere for less than £600 a bottle ,with the nip gone we had to drink the rest .Then we were told that the rest 4 bottles had been given away as Christmas tips to the refuse men .

Might have been bottled here maybe? Worth a phone call before you go opening it for a sip.
