The stark contrast between the Brexit Party’s slick, professional branding and The Independent Group/Change UK’s never–ending horror show has been the source of endless amusement. Unfortunately, some Remainers are failing to see the funny side, one mad FBPEr has had such a severe sense of humour failure that he has filed an official complaint about the Brexit Party’s logo. For being too good…

Richard Bentall #FBPE, who is apparently also a professor of clinical psychology, wrote to the Electoral Commission to complain that the Brexit Party’s logo was an arrow – which funnily enough is next to the voting box for them. “In my professional opinion,” he splutters, “the ballot paper confers an unfair advantage to the Brexit Party.” The only thing giving them an unfair advantage is Change UK’s chronic incompetence…

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for benefits I can tell you  won't get them, but what you do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills you have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make you very desirable for developed countries like France and Germany . If we get a clean Brexit now, that  will not be the end of it. They will still look for you, they will still employ you, but if they don't, you will still have a job here in Blighty, we will find you and we will employ you!

😂

Mm, that's something we are very good at, paying out with usually a negative position.

Certainly true at the moment! £40 Billion and rising!

Good Question time tonight , Farage and the soubry amongst others.

Should be a good one, I hope neither side labours (no pun intended) the point about where the funding comes from - it got a bit tedious last night on Peston (not to mention that the audio and video was not well synced - it was like watching a low quality dubbed movie)

I can't watch that prawn (Peston), his deliberately laboured, slowly thought out approach, makes him look deluded, not very watchable at all and plenty of other good political commentators around!

Agreed, made even worse by the out of sync A/V but I was still buzzing from the footie and it gave me an excuse to politely ask the other half to allow me to concentrate on listening to something other than her 🙂

Well, one of those donors has come forward and he is the chosen Brexit candidate for the up and coming by election at Peterborough. Excellent write up today in the Telegraph.

Self made man and actually lives in Peterborough and already spreads some of his wealth within that City on various charitable causes including being on the Cathedral committee.

Unfortunately pushed onto the middle pages by the hysteria about Megan calving.

Worth buying a Telegraph today as well for the cartoon.

Yes I'd seen the article about the Peterborough candidate. Ironically it was Megan and her outfit that the missus was banging on about when I was trying to watch Peston, at least I think that's what she was on about...

Mike Greene, good on him!

Seems like a decent enough chap, has obviously worked hard and is giving back to his local community.

A marked difference between Mr Greene and Peterborough's last political offering. It would be great to see him win... the shockwaves would shake Westminster to the core, and not before time.

We are very hopeful of that sort of outcome.

Indeed, as I expect are some 17.4m others.

As an aside I think it's time we saw a lot more candidates of Mike Greene's ilk, whoever they may be standing for. The days of the career politician who studied PPE, worked as an intern, licks some bumcrack and is then parachuted into the nearest safe seat has proven to be a failure of gargantuan proportions. Let's hope the electorate in Peterborough realise what they could be setting in motion here.

I find Peston really irritating personally.

Very sadly I think, (hopefully wrong?) he will face stiff challenges as he appears far too dangerous to let him succeed?  The tat in power at present will be having sleepless nights, (hopefully right)

Is it the usual ratio of 5 remainers  against Nigel tonight  on Question Time ?...........BBC bias ?

No: the 'business' representative is John Mills (business is JML) who is a leaver, but also a (very wealthy) Labour supporter. (read Champagne socialist)

Blimey, 4 remainers  against 2 leavers,..........that's unusual for the Beeb, no doubt the audience will be 'selected'

Just popped QT on, not shouting over each other for a change, Farage seems to be doing well, getting a good response from the audience can't think why 🙄🙄 🤔

Funding just raised its head 😯
