Clay shoots near Stokesley/Middlesbrough

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm looking for a Clay shoot near my Fathers on 29 or 30th June. I grew up near Stokesley , I live in London now,  my Dad and I used to shoot together at John Cowans (?) In the early 80's. I'd like something similar, English sporting, not too serious.

I know about Thimbleby but their website I states if you don't have a certificate you have to have a lesson my father gave his up years ago and I shoot with my 15yr old who doesn't have one either. I'd like my Dad to shoot with his grandson.

The terrain can't be too rough as he isn't in great health.

Any suggestions Welcome.

If you have your license that should suffice.

The Duke of Wellington gun club is not too far near welbury. Open every other Sunday they have a Facebook page.

I’m sure at thimbleby unless they changed there rules

as long as you have your licence you can take them along with you  as I’ve done this a good few times in past to try and get people into it

just ring up it even better pop down as it’s inkybdown the road there are friendly enough and helpful and you’ll get the info. From the horses mouth.

Or you’ve got oakloadge at heartlepool or spennymoor
