One just popped up on airgunbbs, £150

whitebridges will...be along soon to show and tell what a Merc "S" can really do...if messed about with...

i still think it is the most beautiful (if that is the correct word) air rifle ever made...and if fettled proper will stand up against any modern puffer.......

This is in the collectors column on airgunbbs.

its an hybrid, it's a challenger action in a Mercury s stock.

the challenger has the bolted breach which is an upgrade from the Mercury.

doesnt look bad at all and cheaper than a Turkish delight or Chinese .

no that is whitebridges.................once you take the varnish off a merc s stock...dry it and stain it hot........they will all go a nice colour...and if there is any graining it will come out..........when it was brought to me it was near impossible to see any sort of grain in it........the top one is my one...looked very boring nothing special...but has come up a nice colour..
