John Gunn
Some time back at Bisley there was a company making lead bullet swaging presses. Based in Devon? Drop a length of lead wire in, heave, and lo! a perfect bullet. I need to make some .395 balls for a muzzle loader and swaging seems to be the most precise way. Anyone heard of Latham(?) They were very expensive. Thanks Dave
1066
Yes, I remember them well. He was always in the entrance hall at the Bisley pavilion. He used to produce excellent .32 wadcutter bullets in either .312 or .313. Have you thought about getting a .395 mould made and cast them yourself. cervusman
I think as been said, it would be quicker and cheaper to cast pure lead for balls.
