getthegat Posted July 2, 2019 Report Share Posted July 2, 2019 (edited) We are on a weeks holiday in France at the moment, in a very quiet rural area with lots of cereals growing(barely a pigeon to be seen) and hay being cut. This morning whilst out for our first walk, my Pointador Sophie, having just put up 5 pheasants out of a maze field, spotted a fox in a cut hay field and ran towards it, but very unexpectedly, the fox ran towards her! They had a little run in a circle, a little chase which was not at all aggressive from either animal, then the fox gave a bark and ran off to the hedge, with Soph running slightly behind, at nowhere near full chase speed. After disappearing through the hedge, Soph did not follow, and came back to me looking happy as if she'd just been playing tag with her new best friend. It was great to witness.
