Packham at it again

Recommended Posts

If they have been shot then it is a disgrace and does no favours to any of us that shoot. It does seem un fare though to lay blame without any proof. Lets hope they don't find any proof of them being shot.

Police have already said that no blame is on the keeper or estate owners after they investigated. Packham is just yet again peddling his anti shooting agenda with no proof or facts..

The estate even said they had no issues with the birds and enjoyed seeing them there.

These are allegations, not substantiated by the police and as such should be liable to prosecution

Cannot the shooting organisations club together and go to the courts to obtain an injunction against his making these wild, unproven and unsubstantiated allegations...........on the grounds that these accusations are designed to adversely affect rural businesses (shooting estates) and jobs (keepers and estate workers)....

said Police Scotland was "satisfied" that neither the estate nor its employees were involved and issued an appeal for information about the disappearance

I have just seen a clip of him on face book putting his spin on this, it was basically his opinion of the disappearance of these two birds "in very suspicious" circumstances whilst saying what a murderous bunch of evil people shooters are and that grouse shooting is finished. It was purely drumming up hatred against the sport. I have no idea where these eagles have gone but I wish they had taken him with them.

We should use the same tactics he does crowdfunding raise the money and then  take him to court  simple as imho,it works for him why can’t it work for us?

Couple of years ago there was a TV program about tagging eagle. The tag looked like something a schoolkid had knocked up in a few minutes and looked as if they would not last a few hours on a eagle. The Basc and others should ask the tagging organisation if they can help and get involved so they have the same info and records . Members could help locate and if they stop working could try to find in a short space of time. Let's get involved and beat these people at their own game

This ^            Surely there are a few barristers/legal types that would take them on at their own game !

He is doing it to cause a reaction. He'd love more abuse or dead birds on his gate, it gets him and his ******** more publicity.

Ignore the idiot.

Agreed abuse and dead birds is exactly what he wants, it proves to the public, that all shooters are animals.. He needs to be taken to task for spreading lies and rumours by suitably qualified lawyers.. ignore at your peril

You’re right of course he is doing it for a reaction ,  but the thing is he’s not going to go away and they are going to keep on so I think ignoring them it’s not really an option. I hope the Eagles are found,  and not just because it would make them look silly ¡¡¡

RSPB sat tagged one of the many adult turtle doves about locally this year on farm/shoot last week. I hope it makes it off the farm alive with working tag!😉

Some of the others they tagged in Norfolk in previous years didn't make it or were had by sparrow hawks not long after being tagged. But they will not tell you that! On track for best year yet for them in numbers they can't ignore now! Well fledged youngsters about and calling males still. So hopefully 2nd broods. Last year was good to! This is from us controlling the growing number of corvids when we can in the Spring!  Orgs and folk doubting us that rooks are egg thieves still tho and big threat to turtle dove success! They and jackdaws clearing out the less well hidden  collard dove nests and working margins on cut grass. Kestrels and barn owls doing real well to. Tho one lot down to one parent. Good vole year and if weather hold they should make it! as near to fledging. Plenty of habitat for them!  Saw buzzard attack and disable a male marsh harrier with prey at Minsmere/Dunwich 3 weeks ago. Crows mobbed it off and probably finished off the harrier. Glad that birders were there to witness it to.       NB

They(the rspb) don't want the numbers to go well though, they rely on poor breeding and numbers dropping for the public to send their money in for funding. They wouldn't know how to fund raise if the numbers were high.

What  you thinking?

This, because what was originally a means of collecting for genuine charitable causes has increasingly become abused. Eg, WJ and the Bo Jo case.

https://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/389501-guys-and-gals-a-favour-please/

(Info for the gang of 5, the number of applications being received is such that the usual sub 7 day turnround for possible approval is now somewhat extended, so still waiting to hear.)
