Honestly these combination guns are more of a fantasy of mine.  I long for the day before hunting  seasons when a man could go out and just walk the woods looking for dinner.  But unfortunately we live in a modern world where we had to buy license to kill certain animals.  These guns aren’t great at deer hunting as they only have one rifle round and they suck at dove hunting as they only have one shot gun round.  So really they don’t do anything well.  But I hunt dove with 7 shot, and deer with 30-06 so it’s fun.

Yes and no.  Older hunters do but it fell out of favor.  But now it is seeing a new generation.  It’s actually the tree hugger liberals that are getting big into hunting. They are on this big from earth to table kick where they are growing there own food and hunting meat.  I eat dove not because I like the taste but I like the hunt.  I don’t kill for sport so I breast them.  I then roast the feathers off and the dog goes nuts for them.  I fry the breast in butter a a strong seasoning.  I hate the taste so I season the hell out of it.   But compared to deer bird hunting is small.  Very few people do it and then it’s more toward ducks and not small birds.

They would most likely have been for doves in Argentina, not the US. The states have a bag limit for everything.

Ahh yes Argentina does ring a bell.

Sounds like there's plenty of guns but not alot to shoot at 😂

Plenty to shoot at from what I've seen on the 'tube', but daily bag and possession limits for wing shooting which varies, year to year and state to state.

I would like to apologize,  as it was misunderstood as a joke.  But basically it is a 12g shotguns with a rifle round underneath.  The 30-06 is a standard hunting round in the USA and Canada.  It is a 30 caliber round that was fielded by the US military in 1906.  Which is why it’s called the 30cal of 06 or 30-06. Again my apologies,  Any and all questions I will gladly answer if I can.

I know the round but never knew why it was named 30-06. Every day is a school day.

Possession/ 15 daily but they have to prove when they were shot.  You do not have the burden of proof. But you can apply for crop protection permit.

So these guys you watch on YouTube shooting the 200+ pigeons over the pig pens (normally), is that crop protection or are they on a limit which is why there are so many shooters in the group and it gets split?

Different state, in the Midwest you have fields that stretch from horizon to horizon. They have more dove the you could ever kill.  Those states don’t have bag limits most years.  But even in NC to get a crop protection permit is super easy.  You just have to produce a crop for sale. So if you own a apple tree and sell apples at the farmers market once a year your are good. North Carolina spends millions of dollars every year to count the wildlife and then dictate what and how many can be harvested. Like starting August 1st we can’t harvest flounder for 365 days.

They will be ferals, the same as ours. Don't believe there is a limit on them as not a native species.
