Should have had the safety on .why have it loaded in the truck in the first place .

As i said the dog's got more sense, looks like they were playing silly Bs and the chaps come off worst.

They then get together to come up with a story and blame Rover.

Clever dog to manage the safety and trigger?

Sounds like cobblers to me.

Could have possible if it was an auto, and this was in the US whee autos predominate.

Its one of the reasons the Americans favour pumps so much. They can be carried around with an empty chamber day to day in a truck or a boat but racked and they are loaded ready to fire in a moment should a shot present itself. Then once fired they can be put down and the dog can climb all over them safely till you rack them again. Same with lever action rifles

Why don't they design a trigger guard that dog's can't get their paws into. They could use 20 shot autos then without any problems.

Mmmm I may look into that, pawproof triggers.
