GT 85

I've tried WD40 dry lube, don't like it much as it don't work as well as expected it was ok for a few shots but didn't hold up for more. I use a drop of zero friction oil on each slide rail after cleaning and a drop on the recoil spring every few months or so.

Isn’t it strange when the OP asked about GT85 and it’s advantages you get a comment about a different product, that according to the poster didn’t give him the expectations he required from that product.

l cannot understand why someone who is not using the product the OP is requesting information on would post such a comment, other than for their own benefit, but has no knowledge or useful information of the product under discussion.

This is not the first time a post has been intentionally disrupted for no apparent reason other than the poster showing his knowledge, or lack of in this case, of something the topic is not about.

Please if you have no relevant information on the subject matter KEEP QUIET.

By the way l use GT85 for cleaning and lubing my rifles, shotguns, bicycles, cars and anything else that may require lubing or protection, and at £2.00 a can in Aldi you really can’t go wrong.

Pigeon shredder your comments are obviously directed at my post. As mine seems to be the only one not singing it's praises. Used it on bike chains was same as other spray oils.

If so the original poster asked about GT85 being same as dry lube because he can't get any dry lube. No it's not same as dryube it's a light oil with added PTFE same as many other makes nothing special. Some love it some don't. If he ain't interested in any other remarks he can ignore them.

Shame you couldn't

I hate it when people discuss things on discussion forums too. It's just not the time nor the place. If you want to discuss things go to a WI coffee morning!

I think the mods should lock every thread after the first response. That should stop discussion spreading.

Me too! :whistling: How daft is discussing things on a discussion forum!
