The fact that authorisation for this experiment has been granted months ago, and long term plans for its roll out rubber stamped is, in my opinion, quite alarming.
The potential for disaster , climate wise and the risk to human health ?

How exactly do you get 'tonnes' of limestone dust up into the upper atmosphere ?
Are we creating some kind of mini nuclear winter, that once initiated , we have no means of stopping ?

And all this from a man who has regularly cited population control, as the answer to all the worlds problems.

Also the man that wants to eradicate malaria, the biggest single control on human population.

After 9-11 scientists found that the amount of evaporation (there are countless sites all over the world) greatly increased for the following week. This was put down to a reduction of a phenomenon that they called "Global Dimming" which they have hypothesized  as being caused by airplanes. This was reported in Horizon

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/dimming_trans.shtml

It is already happening so perhaps we should look at increasing air travel!!!

Don't worry what little Grettel would say shes busy saving the world in a boat for a fortnight.

Apparently all it's power is derived from wind and solar. It would be a massive shame if the next two weeks brought calm, yet dull weather to the North Atlantic. 😉

Obviously if a massive storm raged and sunk the wind powered boat she would stay in the life raft after throwing the batteries away and refuse the help of the helicopter and rescue services as there not eco 🙄

I think if you add water to limestone it makes a good impression of cement

And gets bloody hot in the process too, IIRC.

The limestone {calcium carbonate) needs converting to { lime, or quicklime) calcium oxide, first, via heat, then with water to make a concrete mix.

Whichever way you look at it, constantly seeding the atmosphere with powdered chemicals, to block out the sun's heat, to counter a dubious ideology, is like one of those science fiction films where we wreck our ecology, on the pretext of saving our ecology, complete with mad billionaire quasi scientist with nefarious aims.

In a other words, a very bad idea.
