walshie
Devil's trumpet? If it is, it's quite invasive. It's also hallucinogenic and poisonous. Edited August 18, 2019 by walshie

GingerCat
Mum has one growing randomly in a pot in her garden. No bird food anywhere near. Wear gloves if you pull it up.
robsmyth
Datura or Brugmansia. Should be in the garden.... not in the field. They are hallucinogenic if eaten.

martinj
Datura, Thorn Apple. Once you let the seed pods burst you are in a world of pain as they are difficult to get rid of. They are hallucinogenic and poisonous, it's a fine line between a scary trip and death - think about the dogs running around in it, getting mouthfuls of seeds (which are as bad as the rest of the plant.) The Thorn apple seeds come with your game crop seeds so they keep popping up all over the place. Pull them up and burn them - sooner rather than later. https://www.nationalgeographic.org/media/thorn-apple/ 2 hours ago, JTaylor91 said: You take them as a suppository 😲 Edited August 22, 2019 by martinj

We have been seeing this plant in amongst the game cover on various estates and had always put it down to cheap seed. Not just an odd plant, always loads of them and being warned by the GameKeeper not to touch them!

When I’m paying £74 acre for seed and then the ploughing working down the ground and drilling then the spraying. It works out at £300 acre to grow a crop of drugs they can deal with mate. Old farrier
Cheap or expensive seed specifically for game cover crop there should not be toxic weed seeds in it from a risk assessment could you knowingly put beaters possible kids and dogs in with that stuff? Just a thought of

Just a thought of Believe me no one will go in that cover crop why that is there. I’ve put in 10 blocks of cover crops this year 9 from Mike Gibson which are brill and the one in question was from a top game cover crop seed company. They say they are coming out and will sort it but as yet not got a date.
