One good thing I read today is that Nissan are seriously considering upping their sales in the UK and dropping the rest of Europe.  It just needs the IMAGE types to buy Nissan instead of BMW or Mercs.  That may just gel minds over in Germany for a start.

I once was called into my Chief Supers office and given a seriously tricky job to do. He told me in no uncertain terms that negative attitude and can't do attitude would not be accepted. The job got done.    It does worry me that we have so many negative people in the country.  Mrs Thatcher was bombarded with negative attitudes towards sorting the Argy problem but she stuck her neck out and our boys got the job done although all the so called experts said it couldn't be done and we should go belly up to the invaders.   I sense that attitude from many remainer types, even some I class as friends AND are still friends. We just beg to differ.

and whilst doing that the experts in France were selling excoset missiles to the Agys................

Exactly and he went on to say that all production would be brought back to the UK and the Europe side folded BUT of course the Boving Waste Broadcastin Corporation would not include that would they now.

Nissan is a very good example of what has been wrong with the EU. Nissan came to Britain to make cars so that they would have a gateway into Europe. The trouble was European sales were always disappointing.

Despite being arguably better cars than many of the French and Italian makes the Europeans were resistant to buying Nissans. They preferred the makes they have grown accustom to. Its not, and never has been a free market

Thats worldwide, and a huge part of that is the highly successful Dacia brand, which sells in vast quantities to countries like Turkey and Africa.

Not sure what youre trying to say, but I dont believe 10 million cars a year from all those brands worldwide is that impressive, even though they are 10 % up on 2017-18.

Its the UK consumer market thats important, as it COULD work out cheaper to build them here rather than face POSSIBLE tariffs .

My passport ran out, only found out when going to book a holiday, new one with me now. It states United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.... But its not blue..

I read that blue will be introduced this year as the stocks of red run out.  To guarantee blue - it seems that you may have to wait until late 2020 or even early 2021.  Mine ran out a while ago, but not replaced it yet as I have no need.

Tweet seen yesterday regarding a 55 minute delay at Schipol passport control. The tweeter seemed to blame Brexit and this was apparently jumped
upon by thousands of remoaners with the usual cack 'You wanted Brexit, now youv'e got it', 'Told you what would happen', 'You made the wrong choice' etc.

It transpired that the airport authorities were have a training day session for new passport check in staff and they apologised for the delay.
I took exactly the same time at Geneva last year when Brexit wasn't what it is today.

Doesen't take them long to get excited and hopeful what?

Yep typical of some die hard remainers, anything they can find (or make up!) that’s negative, and it’s the fault of Brexit!......Anything positive, as a result of Brexit, and they choose to not comment! :D childish, bad losers!

That'll be the SAME Magaret Thatcher who knew the cost of everything yet the value of nothing? The SAME Margaret Thatcher who's own 1981 Defence Review decision to axe HMS Endurance gave the inference to the Argentinians that the UK was no longer much interested in the integrity of the Falkands and South Georgia?

This Margaret Thatcher:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1981_Defence_White_Paper

Royal Navy[edit]

This review proposed extensive cuts to the Royal Navy, including the sale of the new aircraft carrier Invincible to Australia. Under the review, the Royal Navy was focused primarily on anti-submarine warfare under the auspices of NATO. Any out-of-area amphibious operations were considered unlikely. The entire Royal Marine amphibious force was in jeopardy of being disbanded and the sale of Intrepid and Fearless was mooted.[2] Although an additional Type 22 frigate was confirmed ordered, Nott stated that nine of the navy's 59 escorts would be decommissioned, mainly from the County, Leander, and Rothesay classes. This decision was attributed to the growing cost of refitting and maintaining older warships. Alongside the proposed hull cuts, Nott revealed that the navy would incur a manpower reduction of between 8,000 and 10,000 people.[1]

Nott announced an order for five nuclear-powered attack submarines, increasing the total to 17. The Royal Navy's building programme of 20 warships was to be unaffected by the cuts, as would the navy's acquisition of the Trident submarine-launched ballistic missile.[1]

The ice patrol ship Endurance was also due to be withdrawn from the South Atlantic. This was interpreted as a sign of weakness by the Argentine Government, encouraging the invasion of the Falkland Islands. Chatham Dockyard was also to be closed as an operational base. Feasibility studies for the Type 43 and Type 44 destroyers were also cancelled, together with the Sea Dart MkII surface-to-air missile

Would you care to highlight a positive of Brexit thus far?

Yes.

No more bloomin' Farage on the television every other day. It was like the pub bore you couldn't seem to be ever able to escape from.

I take it you are a ‘remoaner?’

Personally I can’t get enough of Farage, a man who did a great deal to get us out of that appalling institute which is the EU.

And about the only one that answered a direct question with a direct answer.

Never mind all digs, I'm not implying a negative, I asked you for a positive and your first attempt was pretty pathetic.
