misser
need to dip into the PW fountain of knowledge with a quick question: am looking at getting a 2m x 2m roller door on the man cave outer shed and am enquiring if anyone has any general comments as to good and bad manufacturers of such, are they difficult to install for two blokes (my mate who is an electrician and myself), would you get insulted or uninsulated etc...all cooments appreciated and welcome....atb….misser
Bigbob
I built a garage onto the side of the house and fitted roller doors both sides so i can drive threw it to get to my original garage , For some reason the builders stuck it in the top corner of the garden and i had a drive up to it you could have 5 cars on . I find that the bottom garage is cooler that the top which i use as a workshop now but not cold . if i do a meat run to the slaughter house i put my mates shares in there and it keeps it fresh . My son put a multi gym in the side garage and does a work out while the dogs are eating roughly 20 /30 minutes a night so its as i say fresh but not cold only thing i would change is and i still can fit a electric motor to open them

McSpredder
Some roller doors need a lot of headroom. I have been told that motorised ones may need a separate PA door, otherwise somebody could be trapped inside in the event of a power cut or failed mechanism. Quite a bit of info on this firm's website: https://www.thegaragedoorcentre.co.uk/garage-doors-wellingborough
