Wait what!  That is literally the only reason I bought it.  I shot 75rds of bird shot into the hill behind my house last night for the sole purpose of racking the lever hard as I could to sling the shell out.

I don't know the reason behind it, I'm sure someone on here will though. 

All I'd ever read/seen/heard was not to do it. 

P.s that's half the reason I brought mine too.

Yes it does,  this one in 30in full choke and made in 1931 as per looked up by OlD Boggy.
