Perhaps the free healthcare plays the biggest part! I've already stated that in my opinion it is the biggest driver in so many wanting to come to the UK.

If they are that ill how did they manage to get here? Perhaps they are just feeling a bit peaky so they thought a quick trip to the UK sounds like the tonic?

Sure don't stay in any of the other sunny countries you walked through, with more stringent conditions on housing and health care, come to sunny Britain where everyone is happy to see you. Might there be another reason?

Not content with the reporting of the BBC and looking at the more balanced private media he issues a warning to the BBC  to back off.

Looking at Johnson today with that picture of the boy on the floor of the hospital and you realise just how far removed from the reality of life for some he is.

Anyone seriously doubt that the tories are now on the far right of politics?

This is the reality of Tory government.

So if the picture is a fake, like Corbyn on the train what does it say about Labour? Doesn't seem like the reality of the Tory Government at all.

The photo does not appear to be faked, but I would question the circumstances of how it happened and why.

Apparently the breathing apparatus on the child is for an adult. If it is fake and its looking increasingly likely what does it say about the kids parents?

Apparently he was taken to hospital by ambulance with suspected pneumonia, but just had the flu and tonsillitis.

So the picture is real. Whether he had to be laid on the floor is another thing entirely, I have seen Mothers saying if this was my child I would never have put him on the floor, I would have held him if I had to.

Is it politically motivated? Probably.

Did the child need to be taken to hospital? Probably not, but I would not want to be the paramedic that made that decision.

Should ALL political parties stop politicizing the NHS? YES 100%, the NHS should be a cross party issue and never used as a political tool.

......  what does it say about the kids parents?

IF true that it is a fake (and there seem to be pieces of 'fact' on both sides) the parents (in fact the child's mother was present and is alleged to have taken the photo, the father isn't mentioned) have simply exploited a situation involving a child - in much the same way as Greta Thunberg's parents have exploited her.  It is also alleged that the parents are active politically as Labour 'activists', in which case that explains how a whole load of Labour activists were on conveniently on site at the hospital when it all happened and Matt Hancock and entourage arrived (to get fake assaulted).

Agree that the NHS should not be 'politicised', but can't see that ever happening.  There will always be sad stories surrounding the NHS (as well as fantastic ones) because of teh size and complexity of the NHS.  Politicians are nasty ruthless grasping types who will seize any opportunity to score points - on which I note that the odious motor-mouth David Lammy's tongue is already going full tilt on this.

Going to sleep on the floor is the sort of thing kids do, I have seen them go to sleep in the strangest of places, what was wrong with the mother cradling the child in a chair (which were available) or putting two together to make a bed, don’t know what the oxygen mask is about in the picture as it turns out he had a bad cold and tonsillitis.

Think there’s a bit more to this than is being said.

I am fairly certain the photo is not faked I am also fairly certain it was staged, there is a distinct difference.

Report here that I read (which may in itself be false) but may also be true:

"A good friend of mine is a senior nursing sister at Leeds Hospital - the boy shown on the floor by the media was in fact put there by his mother who then took photos on her mobile phone and uploaded it to media outlets before he climbed back onto his trolley. He was on a hospital trolley in the paediatric A&E having been seen within 20 minutes. I am a nurse myself and am so ****** off with fake news, yes the NHS is a mess mainly caused by people misusing it and lack of elderly care. Think of the nurses and Doctors who are doing their jobs instead of constantly slagging them off. another Momentum."

The kid was on the floor and the hospital apologized to the parents. The 'senior nursing sister' is a figment of someone's imagination.

But it's all just mud-slinging and emotive memes on both sides. Proper political and economic issues never get an airing and the public doesn't seem in the least bothered. And that's why the choice is between Corbyn's fantasy world Labour party and Johnson's gang of chancers and spivs. As the man said 200 years ago  - all nations get the government they deserve.

Whatever the reality, I find it totally unacceptable for the parents to take a photo opportunity for political purposes, using their son. As someone else has pointed out, it's Greta Thunberg, without the death stare and moronic speech.

People have died, whilst on a trolley in a corridor - under Labour and the Tories. Having a cold, lying on the floor, with a strategically placed cover doesn't quite hack it as  genuine tragedy.

Every time I turn on my radio, John McDonnell is on the BBC.  The impression is that he gets more BBC air time than all other politicians put together.

For the Tories we get Gove, Javid, Hancock, Patel, Raab, Cleverly, Sunak, Barclay, Shapps .........

For Labour we get McDonnell, McDonnell, McDonnell, Long Bailey, McDonnell, McDonnell, Pidcock, McDonnell.  No sign of Abbott, Thornberry, Starmer

Perhaps he's the only one who can come up with a coherent sentence for labour

No, no, no, the only coherent Labour Party comment came from the John Ashworth MP the Shadow Health Secrretary yesterday when he admitted on that secretly recorded phone call to Corbyn being their big problem.
