I've had this and it was a cylinder valve leak.

To test, detach it, fully charge it and stick it valve down in a pint glass of water.

Just done exactly that and you are correct it is 'perculating' out of the fill valve. There is also a very small amount of leakage from the edge of the brass fitting at the other end. Looks like a drive into Solware in the morning.  Thanks for your help.  Until I had a fiddle didn't know how easy it was to remove the cylinder.  Might be just muck in the valve holding it open a touch.

This little rifle has never failed me until now, so might just need a good service.

Old type AA fitting, Mk2.

hello, ok some put a balloon on the muzzle but could be a number of factors with these rifles, leaking fill valve, tube, no seal on bolt, as it goes down over night sounds like an internal seal, there is a diagram on Chambers and seal kits, and videos on u tube to fix these,

hello, a leak on the fill valve should be no problem but i would also suggest getting it serviced, great PCPs had a MK 1 and 2 myself, good luck

I had my little brocock suddenly  leak from the fill valve .i stripped the valve .cleaned the whole area .including the springs and small ball baring etc.

When i reassembled  it was fixed and holding air .

Just some crud in the valve .

Lots of the fill valves are serviceable. Instructions online how to do it.

If you can buy a tin or small bottle of leak detector fluid. It's inert so won't harm anything but will show the slowest of leaks. Looks like cuckoo spit, the saliva looking stuff you see on grass.

New filler valve arrived from Best Fittings this morning and pleased to say the AA S200 is up and working again.  Thanks for all the suggestions and was assured that if the rifle is printing accurately leave well alone and no need for service or regulation etc.    Reports of tree rats on feeders so will be out in the morning.

One or two met Mr 17HMR where it was safe background:good: in the meantime. Reports from beaters that some where exiting from one of the feeder stations today so looks good weatherwise in the AM and perfect place for the air rifle.
