If they were frozen how would they know when they were shot? Unless he told them when they were shot?

I was thinking the same thing, if he had been doing something naughty I can't imagine he would have been daft enough to admit it.

You have to wonder what he did to come to their attention in the first place. I always wondered if you were unscrupulous enough if you could collect roadkill badgers - the nice ones not the oozy ones - and shoot the carcass and get paid out? It would be financially in his interest to freeze them till the 4th season when they're worth £40 a badger!
