tactical shotguns

I wouldn't turn up to a casual bike ride in full racing gear with a mate dragged along to drive his car behind me as some sort of team support, I wouldn't turn up to a formal dinner in my tracksuit and a vest, and I wouldn't turn up to  a pheasant shoot dresses in full SWAT gear.

 

Aside from the fact you look like a pillock, it shows a lack of decorum. Whilst some are happy to do away with this, I still think it shows great character and respect, not only for ones host, but for the activity they are taking part in. 

I think shooting and hunting is so much more than just going out and shooting / killing something. 

 

I wouldn't care an bit if someone was hard up for cash (I often am) and came out shooting with what gear / outfit they had, but turning up with something silly like a tactical shotgun on a pheasant shoot would be in bad taste. 

Aside from that, I bet a tactical shotgun would be horrible to lug about on a shoot all day, rough shooting etc, I would much rather a nice light side by side.

I couldn’t agree more , I’ve had many great days out with shotgun , handful of cartridges and the dogs and havnt fired a shot !
