I stand corrected but it’s still daft.
no sgc required to buy carts but a primer is prohibited .

Hmmm

Large pistol primers fit In the magtec shotgun brass cases that should be an interesting point of law

its a shotgun case that technically you can't reprime and reload to use then then

To AP the OP. If you load standard shotgun cartridges you will end up after a lot of effort with cartridges which you could easily "and at less cost" buy anywhere.

Now if you was to want something a bit different load up some black powder cartridges. "You do need an easily obtained licence for this" and have some real fun. Lots of flame smoke and noise. Great fun. Watch a few you tubes and get hooked.

Most loaders do not make standard shells. Those that do, do very. Well. Sits, makes lead shot too.

This old timer has been loading cartridges since 1962 and making his own shot since 1973! No licence needed to do this, BUT, as stated, some folk make up nonsense. However, you could come unstuck if you loaded some 'naughty' and illegal loads, like lettered shot, slug and the legal minimum number of projectiles in a cartridge. Always ASK if in doubt.

Yup.

Adding 5 pieces of #9 shot with a slug, is still a slug.
