1377 again

Recommended Posts

Picked this up this week, new .

I havent had this model and since i have a bit of a weakness for these crosmans i had to have it .

I had a plink with it today just with the opens and it was shooting well  at 20 yds .so i thought id release a bit of its potential and put a small pistol scope on it .2x20 .

Gonna zero it tomorrow .

These are pretty potent guns doing around 5 fpe with 10 pumps .

This is my other one .

My son was shooting this very well at the weekend  .its very easy for him to get a good fit behind it ..

Mate had one in the mid 80's, do they still have a cocking bolt you pull out the rear to half cock and full?

No .just the side bolt u see in the top pic .lift it and 1 click back cocks the hammer and sets the trigger .

They are dead easy to work on and fettle .and very addictive to shoot This one will probably live in the decoy bag for pigeon dispatch and boshing a few out of a tree when they land right above the hide .

Found a photo of my original one from about 5 years ago . (Which i shouldnt have sold ) and a rat catcher with a home made 2 shot system id cobbled together .

I had a look online and found the type my mate had. You can see the ribbed round cocking bolt head.

Think they call that a phase 1 .

First made in 1977 .the phase 3 the one in my first pic. Still being made today .52 years in production .

I had the one in the photo with the rear cocking catch - took many Rabbits with it in my teens - newer ones are made in Mexico now and have a rubbish plastic breach.
