Nice Gun, intention was to use as a general game gun for the hide etc. I always was a benelli fan and considered the sbe 3. Really struggling to get the grips of this beretta, have tried various chokes and patterned it with a few different lead cartridges. One of the features is the 13 inch forcing cone, would it affect the pattern? I just stood in a wooded area this afternoon to shoot flighting pigeons, I am normally a 7 out of 10 man but today it was 0 😩 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Gonna Shoot a Wabbit Posted January 1, 2020 Report Share Posted January 1, 2020 I have the same gun and and i had the AL391 for 10 years before it. Beretta out of the box do not fit me as the comb is too high. Fit the shim that comes with it to drop the comb and bingo it fits like a glove with just a gentle touch of my cheek to the comb all i can see is the bead and non of the rib which is how i like it. Also beretta chokes pattern 3/4 high with my choice of cartridges and i prefer a 50-50 split High / Low in the pattern.....gun shoots where i look rather than above where i look. So i fitted a 1/4 "Teague" choke as it patterns where i look. With those modifiations on both the AL391 and the A400 the gun fits like a glove..I am 5'10" and shoots where i look.
