Fenlandbob Posted December 15, 2019 Report Share Posted December 15, 2019 Hi, all. Have been on the look out for a Lee Enfield SMLE in 410 for a while. I recently missed out on one at auction. Can anyone give me a realistic price for what they are worth? I left what I thought was a good price on a commission bid. But the gun went for £600. With auction fees on top, it was a £726 gun. Are they really worth that sort of money, or was that down to the luck on the day? Just wondering, because I do want one, but don't want to pay over the odds. Curious as to what you think? I paid around £350/£400 for each of these. I can't believe that the SMLE is worth that much more? I know there are more shootable guns out there, but I do use mine for short range live shooting.
