The party would have been a lot more appealing to the middle ground if they'd been smart and not gone for Red Ed. But they weren't, So they've just got more red and less appealing now! What brings whoops and hollers at their leftie meetings is greeted with dismay by the public at large. I agree with ditchman that David Milliband will return at some point - possibly after another 20 years in the wilderness for Labour..
