Is there such a thing as bullying in absence?

We all think we know she is a bit loopy but dont you think its about time to call a halt to all the name calling we have been giving her the last few weeks if not months and years. She may not be a member on here (or maybe she is) but i think its still a form of bullying.

Has anyone any thoughts?

I'm sure if you submit that to the Snowflake Society, they'll gladly add it to the growing list of misdemeanours 🙄

I am unclear just how it is considered bullying. She has said some really nasty things, made what I consider to be racist remarks, been a total hypocrite, appears to have little grip on reality and even how to dress herself.

Despite her shortcomings, I feel sorry for her. Totally out of her depth in her lofty position and open to endless ridicule, most of which she has brought upon herself.

I think the more pertinent question is whether she and her cronies are the real bullies. The Jewish people seem to think so and I find it hard to disagree.

If the OP can explain Labour's treatment of the Jewish people, I might be more inclined to treat the question seriously.

Over to you peck.

I think that if you put yourself up for public office in the way she has she cannot complain too much when people judge her. But its not just her its everybody in public life. that has to face up to horrible amounts of highly personal carp on social media i

Saying that (and I am going to contradict myself now) there is a limit. Fair and justified mockery is one thing but in her case (to me) she borders on being delusional in a way that goes beyond just not being able to hack it and suggests something deeper is wrong with her?

Over to you OP.

The labour movement has always been anti Jewish. The Jews (in London) were the original influx of immigration following on from the Russian pogroms in the 1880s and they were seen as a threat by and to the working classes.

No Jew ever got a job on the railways or the post office even up into the 1960s in London that's a fact.

Similarly jobs on the council and even the Civil Service were closed to them. They could apply and they were interviewed but the job always escaped them.

It was known as Yiddisher Muzel, literally meaning Jewish Luck but really meaning Jewish bad luck. They had lived  under oppression for so long that it became normal to them to be discriminated against

Later labour activists espoused the Rothschild conspiracy that wealthy Jewish families controlled everything from banking to the newspapers so everything reported against them in the papers could be dismissed as Jewish misinformation.

As a percentage the Jewish population in Britain is tiny, for the most part all they want to do is keep their heads down. and not get involved. Corbyn and his anti semitism  has scared them sh1tless and people are actually selling up and leaving the country.

Just stop and consider for a moment, how frightened would you have to be to really consider seriously going abroad to get away from this?

Do you mean the working classes that fell for Mosley's fascist nonsense? Or do you mean the working class communists and socialists who fought alongside Jewish people to keep the  Blackshirts out of the East End?

Examples? There must be some.

No. The allegations of antisemitism being levelled against Corbyn stem from his long-standing support for the Palestinians. And that's because supporters of Israel's apartheid government  deflect criticism of Israel's unconscionable treatment of the Palestinian people by attacking critics as being antiSemitic. And although the trick might work, it doesn't alter the fact that it's still a trick.

If you look at the mud slung at Boris during the election I think Dianne Abbott has got off lightly.

What I am still struggling with is someone told me that she has a degree from Cambridge University and she sent her son to private school.

Leaving aside the obvious hypocrisy of her position on education I still can’t reconcile the education she has purportedly received and her appearing thick as mince at every interview / opportunity. I am genuinely stumped.

If someone can direct me to anything that she has said which has made sense or dare I say it has been determined to be ‘quite clever’ then please bring it on.

If we had a potted plant offered up as shadow Home Secretary then obviously there would be uproar and lampooning - this is not a million miles away from where we currently are no?

Pretty sure she has type 2 diabetes and has had various episodes of general ill health over the years. It was also reported a couple years ago that she has a long term condition, whilst I don't think details were given, it might be reasonable to assume it's something degenerative to the mental faculties.

Probably best for everyone if she quit but perhaps she is not in a financial position to do so. Sad all round really as whilst she remains in the limelight she will continue to be the butt of countless jokes and abuse based on her constant gaffs.

Can't help with any examples of brilliance from her but there may be some, if you go back far enough...

Whatever I think of her - and it isn't good - I do think there is something seriously amiss. I would not wish ill health on her, but am genuinely concerned that she has some medical condition which makes her appear as thick as two short planks.

OH and I have wondered for a while if she has early onset dementia or some such problem. While I do not necessarily  agree with her politics, some of her early speeches showed a much sharper wit and intellect than she is showing now.

There are some places many of us know deep down that we shouldn't go because we are not up to the job.

I suggest she would do better returning to the back benches (occasionally) but mostly remain in her own neighbourhood where she attracts a good vote (+ money) and stay the heck out of TV appearances. Maybe she has come to feel that way herself which might explain why she mostly kept her head down during the elections.
