Arron yeates
Been renorvating the house for the last few years gutting every room back to ceiling joists, new floorboards. Moving door frames. Nocking walls down new plaster on every wall. Re wireing, new plumbing.. you name it all by our selfs lools mint like a new shoe home. Glass stair case the lot. Moved onto the kitchen did all the main work but brought the kitchen from a local kitchen firm and they were to supply and fit etc all done in 2 days and then wait 5 days for the worktop once the template was made etc... 4 weeks later only just kind of got the appliances and worktop fitted... its chriatmas eve tomorrow and the crappy push fit conectors theys plumbed the new AEG wash/dryer in with are leaking. Second visit to fix today and again still leaking... pain in the back side so close to christmas the stress its caused for the last month has been horrible... rant over lol
eddoakley
I feel you pain. I've been trying to get a place of mine finished for 2 years!! Roof off and replaced, 3 extensions, big dig out in garden including retaining walls etc, complete re-wire, re-plumb, skimmed, kitchen, bathrooms, stairs(3 attempts as I didn't like them once in), lots of steels to open up the ground floor and get in a 6m bifold door....a lot of work especially when actual paying work has been so busy. Didn't quite get it all finished but promised mrs Edd that we'd be in this Xmas so we are. Tonight is our second night and I've just found that the shower in the master ensuite isn't working. We can live with the others for now but not something I wanted to find. If it's the worst thing that happens I won't mind too much. Hope your kitchen get a sorted. mowdy
That’s nothing you should be a builder who quotes 12-14 weeks for work to be completed end of January and clients turn round after changing there mind several times and then expect all work finished for Christmas!! And thereChristmas starts mid December bloody custards!!

Its been a lot of work, should really have been finished ages ago but I've been fitting it in around work. I wasn't too bothered about moving in but Mrs Edd has been desperate to move so I promised Xmas. There's a lot more left to do that I didn't want to have to do when here because it's much harder but at least we made it in for Xmas. Don't think I would have survived if we hadn't!
