How ironic , you drove 140 miles to make the grand total of 140  , now that is dedication Mr Walker .

Hah Ha !!  didn't notice that.  Yes, seems a long way but it is a lovely estate to just sit and watch the world go by.... a couple of munties strolled past almost close enough to stroke followed my a really nice fallow buck and hoards of song birds ...... a lot more to a pleasant day in the countryside than just killing things.

17 makes a mess of them, pulverised from the inside. I wasted 30 mins before work this morning watching two squirrels play kiss-chase in the boundary of my permission,  totally ignoring the peanuts on offer. No safe shot available I eventually had to leave.

Just one more this morning BUT I have put a couple of small buckets of kibbled maize laced with aniseed in another small copse and the trail cam this morning shows at least three on it so a few to come from there. Just need to put up a hide and clear a shooting lane. Trouble is the ground is so wet will have to hand carry it all in.

One today out of 2 playing kiss chase.

Total 149

The first one for weeks, saw another couple heading for the hills on sighting the motor. No interest in the feeders again.

Another male just reaching maturity this morning from the wood yard feeder.

This FAC Verminator packs a punch.

I watch one with the thermal spotter for an hour this morning up in the middle of Scots Pine canopy. Eventually it succumbed to a safe shot.

Four came, four died then three more came to the funeral so seven overall between 8am and 9am this morning in that new copse.

One did not have a tail just a hairy stump.
