Taileron
Dropped the ball big time. Booked the tickets for the shooting show with my pal on 14th Feb. Happy days I thought, we thought. Then we realised it’s Valentine’s Day and Mrs Taileron will be expecting the usual flowers, meal etc. Im in the dog house, Mrs Taileron is an excellent cook and my last divorce cost me a fortune so I’m thinking about cancelling, but I do like the gun show. Decisions, decisions.

figgy
The her your booking a weekend away but not on valley weekend as it's still.pricrs and you want to spoil her. If that don't work, put her out to grass. Grow a pair and go to the shooting show, if she needs flowers and a meal on velentinrs day to know she's special there's something not right. It's the worst night to go for a meal in the year along with lunch on mothering Sunday, to be avoided at all costs.

old man
The last one I went to was dire. Traffic jams on way in. Car park as far away from hall as possible. Ticket access a joke, having to queue twice. So crushed inside that couldn't look at any stands properly. Won't bother again.

ehb102
An apology, an admission of error and an upgrade in the quality of meal would usually soothe my injured soul. Or a new gun, obvs.

Mrs Taileron is a clay shooter and suggested that she could have a day off work and could come with us. This presents a new issue, Mrs Taileron is sound, and I quite like her, but looking at guns with my mate, perhaps sampling a beer or 3 on the way home seems to be a better option. 17 hours ago, sam triple said: and operating white goods to worry about anything else 😂👍 A fair point, Mrs Taileron was rewarded at Xmas with a brand new shiny Bosch dishwasher. I fully deserve a lovely new Maxus Sporting.

Unfortunately Mrs Taileron is an ex WRAF and as such an utter nightmare on the drink. Any form of booze sends her into a demented loon and I fancy a few pints on the way home. How do I know? Nearly 57yrs experience and she was standing with me on the drives today and on Tuesday in the rain and will be on Saturday and is disappointed she cannot be with me at Catton next week. Dougy
Definitely mis-managed. " Dear Mrs Taileron, I know its Valentines day on Friday, and i certainly wont forget you Darling. I am going out somewhere really special to get you a lovely gift you will treasure forever" I will gift you this on my return which will be early evening, and i have booked a special table at the best restaurant in town, where we can sit together and gaze into each other eyes while eat" So with that spread as thick as you like, arrange with your mate to hold your shopping from the shooting show for a couple of days, you book a table for 2 at your local Burger-king, buy her a bunch of flowers pop a couple of Viagra just before bed time. I'm going Friday too, but im not under the thumb. I might see you there, 😎
