35 on dial, or actual 35, if the former most likely doing 32-33mph and may avoid.

This ^ and if you haven’t had a NIP within (I believe 14 days) you can breath a sigh of relief!

And I believe you should be offered a speed awareness course....in place of the points!

The usual ( but not always!) leeway for speeding is usually 10% plus 2 mph above the posted speed limit, in your case the equates to 5mph.....so you may be ok?

I've had the paperwork issued through my door on Thursday morning.. They are officiant if nothing else.

Says I was recorded at 35 mph

I await my shipping ordered to vandemons land

And good enough for you you wicked person.    The course I was on for doing 33mph a few years ago was held in a hotel near Berwick on Tweed.  One aof the guilty actually came all the way from the Shetlands to save his license.

I got done 55 in a 50 dual carriageway just on outskirts of Newcastle.I got choice of fine/points or awareness course.Im 57 and been driving since 17.1st ever offence I've had.

The awareness course is very good and weakens you up when i like most of us become complacent. Its a wake up call when you see the difference in stopping distance an extra 5mph can make. But it's the impact that's the biggest wake up call an extra 5mph has!

Great course to attend, should actually be a compulsory course every licence holder should take periodically.

I originally felt hard done by, 55 in a 50 and had the usual attitude of,it's only 5mph over. However after the course (during the course even) felt the course /penalty was justified.

This is why I use cruise control as much as possible, there is just too many instances where you can inadvertently go over a sensible/legal limit.

I often do but this village Street is less then half a mile between national speed limits. I suppose it makes money, if its ploughed into making the roads better to travel on I wouldn't mind

was it in whaplode Lincolnshire got done 32 in a 30  (most productive camera in the country apparently )   offered a speed awareness course  4 hours of my ill never get back     had previous  speeding fine and points 18 yrs before on the m 40 @ Amersham  and the only one      police with hairdryer

admit to the speeding charge they will offer you a course  as the local council are making money not police

a mate has just claimed his speeding awareness course  back off Lincolnshire council  with a bill of over £800 dew to pot hole damage  amg merc  two tyres two wheel repairs tracking etc   maim dealer would have been £ 2100  + vat for the same repairs    (there is a god  😂

speed awareness course does not affect ins  ( the selling point for the council  )  offend again within 3 yrs points on licence and fine

Back,in the day I went on first ever speed awareness course in Lancashire. It was run in Farringdon and took best part of a day. Included driving on roads as well. Two of us criminals in car and one instructor. It didn't start well, when my fellow ( female) offender went the wrong way around a mini roundabout. I knew the course couldn't be failed as long as you turned up. So I just drove as I normally do.  At that time I was doing about 2000 miles per week.

I was clocked at 34 in a 30 responding to a call from Trumpton who couldn't get a Fire Alarm to reset at one of my clients. My clients offered to pay my loss of earnings !!!!!!!!

Could be worse, I got caught doing 86 in a 60. Silly thing to do. I was on the A75 stuck behind a truck carrying a wind turbine blade doing 15ish mph with a police escort for nearly half an hour. When a bit of dual carriageway presented itself I took the opportunity to get round the bloody thing. Safe to say there was another police car ready and waiting on the opposite side of the road over the brow of a hill. You couldn’t see it until I had already gone past.
