bumpy22
Not long now gentleman. With the squads being announced and players in and out. Who is going to win the six Nations this year?
figgy
I think it could be England Wales or Ireland, or one of the other three. Just a guess though. Until I see them play the first game it could be any one of the main four. All are more than capable when the teams right. Looking forward to it. Mice!
Yep getting giddy, I arranged to take the wife out then realised it's the England Scotland game that day, thankfully I got my dates mixed up so the rugby is still on 😁

henry d
England for me, as I would like to leave here with a slam under their belts or at the very least the Callcutta cup back where it belongs. I suppose some of it will depend on how the team bond after the Sarries incidents.

I do wonder whether England's cohesiveness over the last 18 months is because of that core of players who all play regularly together in club rugby. There's no way that squad can stay together in the championship; England need them playing the high quality matches to keep match hungry. I think it's going to be England's to lose, but Wales are always dangerous. here's to a cracking few weeks of rugby.
bumpy22
A lot of the squads have lost players to injury and quite a few retirements after world cup. I see it being very open this year. Which I think makes it the best tournament

Its worse living on the welsh borders esp when Wales beat England, the welsh guys are carping on about it for months. 🙄 Can't wait. Free transfer to Falcons as they should be back up next season? I'd deffo buy a season ticket then 🤣
chrisjpainter
The off field intrigue's begun. Finn Russell's out of at least the first match for 'a breach of protocol' and has left the training camp (of his own accord). I think this one could rumble on. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/51222874
bumpy22
Finn Russell is a massive loss to them. Could be battling with italy

bumpy22
Says a bit of a group meeting sunday. Got told he would not be in contention for selection so did not turn up after. Real shame as a great player and a shame if we don't see him at the tournament
chrisjpainter
I do wonder whether there are a few issues in the team dynamics to the surface. I don't think he and Hogg see eye to eye particularly. Now Hogg's captain, maybe he's looking to stamp his authority on a few things. You would expect Russell to do this from ten. But something tells me Hogg would want to be in charge. You maybe right never thought about that. Hope they do play together as it will harm the lions aswell

henry d
Not looking good, rather than getting a no story or a shame faced Fin, the news was pretty inconclusive with management and squad saying he's welcome back. Time will tell.
henry d
Local news concentrated on Huw Jones last night when they visited the squad in Spain, I get the feeling the fall out might be a big deal for Scotland.
WestonSalop
It'll be interesting to see how Wales begin their new regime. In true Welsh style it wouldn't surprise me if they come flying out of the blocks and do well. I'm English, living not far from the border and just like Powler above, my Welsh mates will take great delight in rubbing it in if they do well and we, once again, blow it. We can have no excuses though, given the amount of money and talent in the English Prem.
